Head Start and Community Preschool:

Midland’s Kiddie Korral Inc. offers a high-quality Head Start and community-based preschool program for children in Tacoma, WA. Since 1985, we’ve supported children’s growth across all areas of learning through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Our experienced teachers understand the importance of early education, and our blended program ensures that all families receive the same care and support, regardless of income, race, or ability. Head Start slots are available in both our Preschool Prep program (ages 2½–3½) and our main preschool classrooms.

How do I know if my child is eligible for Head Start?

Our Head Start program serves families who could benefit from extra support, including:

  • Children in foster or kinship care
  • Families receiving TANF or SSI
  • Families experiencing homelessness
  • Families with limited income who receive a DSHS childcare subsidy
