Early Head Start:
Focusing on You and Your Child
Midlands Kiddie Korral Inc.'s Early Head Start program has been serving toddlers 17 months and older and their families since 2015. The program offers developmental screenings, social-emotional support, play-based learning, and access to community resources, helping children grow, learn, and thrive.
Our Early Head Start program offers:
- High-quality, educationally based childcare with play-based learning
- Family support and engagement opportunities
- Social-emotional support
- Nutritious meals
- Diapers and wipes provided for Early Head Start children
- Developmental screenings
- Connections to community resources
- Low teacher-to-child ratio: 1:4, with a maximum of two teachers for 8 children (WA State toddler ratio is 1:7, max 2:14)
- Quarterly educational goal setting with your child’s teacher and family advocate
- Individualized curriculums tailored to each child’s needs
How do I know if my child is eligible for Early Head Start?
Our Early Head Start program serves families who could benefit from extra support, including:
- Children in foster or kinship care
- Families receiving TANF or SSI
- Families experiencing homelessness
- Families with limited income who receive a DSHS childcare subsidy
